Increase in the Fire Danger Rating

We have received the following message from Seneca Smith, Fire Prevention Battalion Chief, Angeles National Forest.

“The Fire Danger Rating will increase from “Very High” to “Extreme”.
This means that all designated recreation areas will no longer be
allowed to have wood fires, charcoal briquette barbeques, or cooking
stoves. Essentially, no open flame is permitted. Fire Prevention Patrols
will be working diligently to enforce the order.

The order will be re-evaluated after 30-days or if our local area receives significant precipitation.”
